The essence of racket sports is rallying, but using conventional methods and equipment will not succeed in teaching the great majority of young beginners how to rally.  Besides demonstrating many rallying techniques, this new approach, using slow moving balls and shuttles, will show you how to:

Teach class size groups with you in complete control

Use slow, non-bouncing, non-rolling missiles which guarantee success

Be a better coach of beginners than many qualified racket sports coaches

Teach fun, progressive lessons appropriate for all your class members

Anyone interested in staging a workshop please contact plusballs for further details.

Schools

Into Schools

As a PE teacher and a Badminton/Racket Skills coach, I have developed what I think is a workable plan to take Racket Skills Coaching into schools during the "twilight" period (i.e. 3.30-4.30 pm).

The thinking behind this innovative approach follows:

Benefits for the School

Facilitating an exchange of ideas and knowledge between teaching staff and visiting coach

Reinforcing the importance of racket and striking games

Adding to the activities already on offer

May help alleviate congestion around the school on session days

Benefits for Children

Providing an opportunity for pupils to enhance skill levels and encourage them to participate in regular sport

Increasing confidence and self-esteem

Providing opportunities for co-operative activity as well as friendly competition

Providing a situation which children are comfortable with but has a club "feel" with a visiting coach presiding

Benefits for Parents

Providing an opportunity for their children to improve their skills and motivation for sport in a structured course

Providing an opportunity for their children to participate in extra healthy activity and exercise

Providing an opportunity for their children to improve their physical/movement literacy

Providing all these opportunities without having to travel to them!

Facilitating a later child pick up time for parents/carers which may be more convenient

Any parents, schools or clubs  interested in arranging twilight coaching please contact plusballs for further details.

Coaches

Coaches

Would you - or someone you know - be interested in coaching racket sports to young beginners?

The Plusballs Method is being taken into schools at the end of the school day.

Why not be at the forefront of a totally new concept in the coaching of racket skills?

There are abundant, well-paid opportunities for coaching racket sports these days - schools, clubs, sports centres or privately.

Coaching will almost certainly not become your main source of income but organizing regular coaching sessions may help considerably with your student finances for example, as well as being a valuable source of supplementary income at subsequent stages in your life.

You would be gaining considerable satisfaction seeing players improve under your guidance and you would be enhancing your own personal development and confidence, aspects which could well impress a potential employer.

You would also be making a vital contribution to the health, fitness, well-being and enjoyment of those you are coaching or helping to coach.

Because of our unique methods, approach and equipment, large groups of young beginners can be initially coached (with commensurate financial rewards) by those who are out-going, well-organised and with a reasonable knowledge of, and ability in, a racket sport(s).

Success for your players and yourself would be virtually assured.

Anyone interested in coaching please contact plusballs for further details.

If you would like to attend a 3 hour Workshop which would give you the tools to coach racket sports to young beginners as well as providing an excellent opportunity for remunerative employment, please indicate below the times you would be available so that I can organize a date and a venue, probably in the Cirencester area.

Please note that for individuals to be able to coach groups on their own, governing body qualifications are normally necessary as well as Criminal Record Bureau checks. However, many coaches would be happy for you to assist and give you opportunities to try out some of our ideas leading to you obtaining formal qualifications.
